Looking for a ProCoach alternative? Precision Nutrition’s ProCoach pairs a ready-made coaching curriculum with guided check-ins and daily practices. Apotheo is built for coaches who run their own method around nutrition targets, the tracker each client already uses, and configurable check-ins. If PN’s curriculum is the product you sell, ProCoach may be the better fit.

What you see in a check-in

ProCoach’s public page describes guided check-in prompts alongside an intake questionnaire, food journaling, hand-portion and daily practice tracking, measurements, photos, and direct messages with images and files. These tools support PN’s structured method. The page doesn’t describe how that data is arranged when a coach reviews a check-in; its help centre needs a PN login.

In Apotheo, each service starts with a check-in schedule, so there is nothing to assemble. Open a check-in and you see, on one screen:

  • the week’s nutrition logs against the client’s targets
  • measurements with charts, and progress photos
  • habit completion and streaks
  • synced data from Apple Health, Ōura, Whoop and Garmin
  • the client’s answers and your message thread

You can open a check-in while the client is still filling it in and start drafting your reply. Measurements, questions and photos can each follow their own schedule, so a weekly check-in doesn’t have to ask for a photo every week. Reply with text, voice, attachments, or Loom video.

Late check-ins don’t pile up. Turn on auto-skip and an overdue check-in is skipped after the number of days you choose. You and the client get an email, and the next check-in is scheduled as usual. You can also let clients skip a week themselves, with a limit if you want one.

Your method and your clients’ trackers

ProCoach’s Practice Library gives you 14 Skills and 40+ Practices, and its guided flow walks clients through them. That is valuable if clients come to you for PN’s approach. Apotheo has no included curriculum: you create your own resources, or license content you have the right to use, and share them through the resource library.

Set full macros, protein and calories, calories only, protein only, a fiber target, or tracking without a target. Create goal types for different days, then review adherence in the check-in.

Clients connect one supported tracker at a time: Cronometer, MyFitnessPal, MacrosFirst, MyMacros+, Nutracheck or Apple Health. MacroFactor can sync via Apple Health, and MacrosFirst can also receive the targets you set in Apotheo. Apotheo has no food log of its own, so a client who logs in ProCoach’s journal will move to a supported tracker. Tracker and wearable connections aren’t described on ProCoach’s public pages.

Client payments

Apotheo connects to Stripe for subscriptions, one-off payments and deposits, and you manage pauses, refunds and promo codes from the client record. There’s no payments add-on; Stripe’s processing fees are separate. Client payment collection isn’t described on ProCoach’s public pages.

Pick Apotheo if…

  • You want to coach your own method, with your own or licensed resources, instead of PN’s curriculum.
  • You want targets from full macros to protein only, fiber or no target, with different goal types by day.
  • You want clients to keep the tracker they already use, such as Cronometer, MyFitnessPal or MacrosFirst.
  • You want questions, measurements and photos on separate schedules.
  • You want to collect subscriptions, one-off payments and deposits through Stripe Connect.

Moving from ProCoach

Every new coach can book a free onboarding call with Adam, Apotheo’s founder. If you’re moving a larger roster, we assess migration help case by case. What can transfer depends on what ProCoach exports, so we look at the export with you before you set a moving date. You’ll set up services, questions, targets, habits, and resources, and each client connects their tracker once.

See how switching works.

Common questions

Can I use the PN curriculum in Apotheo?

Apotheo has no included curriculum. You can share your own or properly licensed resources. Check your agreement with Precision Nutrition before copying or adapting its materials.

Can my clients keep their food tracker?

Each client connects one supported tracker, such as Cronometer, MyFitnessPal or MacrosFirst. Clients who log in ProCoach’s food journal will need to move to a supported tracker.

Can I move my client data from ProCoach?

Ask PN what it can export. What Apotheo can import depends on those files, and we assess migration help for larger rosters case by case. See how switching works.

Does ProCoach support Android or wearables?

Neither is described on ProCoach’s public pages. Apotheo has iOS and Android client apps.

Can I try Apotheo first?

Yes. The free trial needs no credit card, and every new coach can book a free onboarding call with Adam.
